Peterson Cara Sandblast 408 Fishtail
First time pipe user, long time cigar smoker. Have memories of my papa smoking a pipe way back in the day in Scotland, while growing up. Decided I want to give the pipe a try. Researched a whole lot and ended up buying the Peterson Cara 408 from tobacco pipe.com. Great choice on both. Although my first few experiences were not so good. In trying to “break-in” the pipe properly I bought Burley blend after reading that this was the best blend to break in pipes…..Hogwash! Was a terrible harsh smoke that almost turned me off. Granted, I’m a new pipe smoker but I’d read enough to know what I was doing. Finally decided to ditch the Burley and went to a tin of “Old Dublin” from Peterson. A world of difference and what I was expecting to experience. Love the pipe and will continue to add different good tobaccos to the list of smokes.
