Not a fan of the PLIP
This is my first PLIP bit pipe and honestly, it'll be my last. I really don't like the PLIP bit, at all. Maybe it's a "get used to it" thing and I'm not used to it, but I really don't like it at all. It's hard to "taste" the smoke because the PLIP redirects the smoke to the roof of the mouth VS. over the tongue and I find I have to place the stem further in my mouth just to get a good draw, which I don't like either. Normal fishtail stems it's easy to redirect the smoke flow while drawing. Not this. A word of caution, if you smoke too fast and get it too hot, you'll burn the roof of your mouth! Not fun... The p-lip bit is also a pain to clean as it bends pipe cleaners. Other than that, this would be a favorite pipe... I love the straight billiards and I own a few for my rotation. This one is perfect other than the PLIP bit for me personally. It's a perfect size, perfect length, bowl size is great, it's light and the terracotta color is really nice. I don't know if the cost is worth it or not at this point, but this is a very nice pipe nonetheless!
