Cognac. One of the classical man's favorite spirit and is also the flavor of choice for this Rattray's mixture. In the same way a warming sip of cognac just seems to slide smoothly down your throat, a single hit of Bagpiper's Dream tobacco just rolls from the slot and smoothly rests on your tongue. If you are a fan of the smooth, the classy, and the delicious, then you should order this tobacco.

Bagpipers dream
One of the few aromatics I really enjoy. It smokes a lot like Virginia blends. A little on the warm side. But smooth. It has a little soapy taste almost like a rosé water but only slightly. With a dash of vanilla and citrus. But never drowns out the tobaccos. A little dry time is needed. A good fall smoke. With an incense like room note.

Nice blend
Another well made and well behaved aromatic from Rattray. My wife enjoys the smell of this blend almost as much as Buckingham. My wife enjoyed the smell and I enjoyed my pipe. It's a win win for me.

Nice Blend
I recently purchased a tin of Rattray's Bagpipers Dream. The flavor choice (Cognac) led me to chose it. The aroma in the tin is very nice, and the tobacco itself smokes very much as it presents. This is a smooth start with nice complexity and a somewhat sweet finish. There is pretty much no bite to it, and the layered hints of toffee, cognac, and cavendish are quite enjoyable. Bagpipers Dream is definitely on my list!

If you hate aromatics, this aromatic might be for you
I have spent the better part of the past six months looking for an aromatic blend that I liked. Most of them just taste like hot air to me, I wanted something that tasted like tobacco and the flavoring. My search led me to LJ Peretti, The Country Squire, and Rattray. Bagpipers and Exotic Passion are to of a handful of aromatic blends that I can say that I actually love. The tobacco is quality and is not buried under the flavoring, which adds just enough to be noticed, yet not dominate. I highly recommend this blend.

Magic!
A mix of different Virginia's keeps this one light with an amazing top later coating of cognac. It is a masterful aromatic that you should be in every aro-head's cellar. This is easily in my top five blends.
