**Manufacture Change: Lightly Vacuum Sealed with Plastic Seal On Tin**

Samuel Gawith Squadron Leader is one of those almost-perfect tobacco blends that every fan of English blends should keep a stock of. It’s medium-bodied, smooth and easy to smoke, while still giving enough strength to satisfy. This blend won’t knock you out, but it will knock your socks off -- the perfect balance in our humble opinion.

    Good and Faithfull smoke

I don't know what else could be said. This is a well proven and classic smoke. Sometimes it can be hard to find. It's good all around smoke. High quality tobacco.

    The english

Purchased the 250-gram box. Upon opening the bag you’re greeted with orientals and Virginia’s. Once jarred the latakia comes to the front. Once you light it to the front comes Virginia’s and orientals with the latakia balancing everything out. A mild to medium English blend Everyone can enjoy.

Excellent tobacco with no burn and just a mild draw you could nurse all day. I tried to order awhile ago and I appreciated the notification it was back in stock. Thank you!!

What a wonderful English blend to relax with. The Latakia is not dominant but it is there. This is a very pleasant smoke.

A very nice pleasant all day smoke. Just the right amount Of creamy latakia. great room note burns evenly with no issue of relights. I smoke it in a 1961 Kaywoodie bulldog and the past meets my new favorite tobacco as a perfect pair I have already gotten several more tins from my local tobacconist.

This is a quintessential English and something every pipe smoker should have cellared! I hate writing reviews, only making these wonderful blends more difficult to get but, I just want to share my love of pipe smoking. This is delicious and worth the wait.

A good quality English blend. Smooth and mild. I’m usually preferring stronger stuff, and this was no exception but, it is a very nice English, with plenty of easy-going depth to it.

She's like a first growth Bordeaux, fine and ready anytime, only better cellared for five years or more if you have the patience to keep purchasing each vintage until you have a steady rotation that will last you a lifetime. This is the blend worth planning that long for. A tin that, to enjoy to its fullest, demands that you learn to appreciate subtle nuances in flavor among its constituent tobaccos, and through their melding and balancing over time. Otherwise, you have a fine every day go to, that can begin as soon as today. Mild and respectful of who you are and what you may be contemplating over a quiet smoke. Best left in the tin for years, then decant into a jar and let it continue its aging, taking what you require along the way. Get it while you can, and save some for the rest of us!
