Big pipe
Excellent pipe. Smokes great. Cool burning and lasts a full hour. If top of bowl was rounded it would be more comfortable to hold but is fine just the way it is. Big pipe rusticated is slightly smaller and more comfortable in the hand. Excellent idea but again

Dr Grabow Big Pipe
I’ve had many Dr Grabow pipes but especially like this one because of the larger capacity of the bowl.

Dr Grabow Big Pipe
Good size. Cool smoker. Smokes better than some more expensive pipes I've had.

Good Size
I would like more wood around the bole. It can get hot.

Great
I love how all these different pipes and manufacturers have all these fancy names and Grabow names this "The Big Pipe"! It is great, smooth easy draw, big bowl, doesn't get hot. Put a rubber mouthpiece on it. The pipe I look forward to each morning. I prefer the smooth over the rustic.

A real solid performer for the price
I don't buy expensive pipes because I seem to end up breaking the stem or cracking the bowl after a while and then have to throw them away. And, of the budget pipes I usually get, I have tried Mr. Brog's (every one I have had has split in half after a few months - even using just matches), a variety of Missouri Meerchaums (don't draft well in my hands and requires all kinds of relights and trips to the store for boxes of matches), some $50'ish Italian ones (bowls are great but the stems have always crumbled within weeks with no hope of finding a replacement stem), and a few others in this price range. Finally tried my first Dr. Grabow and went for the "Big Pipe" hoping for a stronger bowl, shank, stem, and draw. So far it has not failed to burn every bowl right to the bottom and leave ash that doesn't even need a pipe nail to remove. I just dump it upside down and reload it. This big boy will burn for 45 minutes or more every time, with only perhaps one relight the entire time - if that. It stays lit, even sitting in an ashtray unattended for a few minutes so I can return and sip at it some more. Also, the finish is really nice and somehow sealed so it doesn't make my fingers sticky or stained like every other pipe I have ever had over the years. If you are like me and break everything you get your hands on, try this one. It's a real bargain for a USA made pipe!
