Sutliff 701 Creme Brulee Pipe Tobacco

Best aromatic I've smoked. Try it, you wont be disappointed

This is a truly fine tobacco. I've been smoking pipes for over 60 years.

I am a real pig when it comes to over the top, sweet tobaccos with black Cavendish in the blend like Molto Dolce. The word is that Creme Brulee is Sutliff's bulk version of Molto Dolce. So is it? Well, yes and no. Yes, because it tastes 99% just like Molto Dolce. No, because I believe Molto Dolce is intensely saturated with even more toppings. But Creme Brulee stands on its own as a very smooth, sweet and aromatic blend. I note vanilla, honey and caramel/butterscotch. Yum! Not only will I continue to smoke this but I have some plans to mix it with a few blends I have that need a bit of a flavor boost.

While I had sampled one oz of this blend before I made my bulk purchase and found it delightful I found on more continuous use that it left an unpleasant aftertaste. and I finally (50 years) had a pipe tobacco that actually ghosted my pipes. I am working through that but have relegated the tobacco to an easily replaceable cob. I like the smoke and am hopeful that the after taste will disappear as the tobacco dries and ages but color me skeptical.

This is very very close to Molto Dolce, if you are looking for a cheaper alternative to Molto Dolce, look no further you've found it! This will definitely be in my rotation, of course, I will occasionally buy some Molto Dolce as well, but this stuff is just as good.

Very moist tobacco, tin/room note were pleasant and was what was expected from advertised. The taste was a bit lacking (wasn't bad, just not "there" - low flavor)... No tongue bite, had to keep relighting

This is a delightful blend. Little to no bite. I will order again.
