Vauen Tapered Pipe Cleaners
I use a variety of pipe cleaners depending on what kind of pipe I'm cleaning as well as what specific part of the pipe I'm cleaning. I utilize the Vauen Tapered Pipe Cleaners, without bristles, to clean the shank my Meerschaum pipes. These pipe cleaners are the best for two reasons. First off they have great absorbency and second they are nice and stiff enabling a thorough cleaning without excessive bending. They are comparable to B J Long pipe cleaners, however these have stiff bristles which one shouldn't use on Meerschaum. Overall Vauen pipe cleaners are a superb product.

Vauen bristle tobacco pipe cleaners
Work great, absorbent but still scrub well enough. I'll be buying these again.

BEST bristled pipe cleaner out there
These are the best, most absorbent bristled pipe cleaners out there.. plus they are tapered. One of these takes the place of 3 normal pipe cleaners. Highly recommended. May be tight in stems with small airways but this is with very few pipes, I haven't had too much of a problem.

Vauen Pipe Cleaners
The description of these cleaners is a little misleading. What I thought was the actual bristled type to clean the heavy gunk and dottle, these are not. These are the absorbent kind but still, do a very nice job of removing moisture. I will be reordering.

VAUEN BRISTLE TOBACCO PIPE CLEANER
I prefer these pipe cleaners over the rest one normally finds readily available simply because they have a stiffer wire, and in my opinion do a better job cleaning stems and shanks. They are equally absorbent as others, yet don't fold up at slight blockages. A drawback is in their thickness; some of my pipes stems are too narrow to use these cleaners on. But I find that since I can use them on the majority of my pipes, they prove to be more economical since I can obtain the same degree of "clean" using less of them than the thinner, cheaper ones.
