Villiger, a notable cigar company, also produces pipe tobaccos for your enjoyment. An older company, they were founded in 1888 by Jean and Louise Villiger in the town of Pfeffikon, Switzerland.
In 1902, Jean passed away, and Louise took charge of the store. This was rather unprecedented at the time, since most businesses of the era did not have a woman at the helm. Louise ran the Villiger business successfully for 16 years until her sons Max and Hans took over. The third generation of Villiger took charge in 1951 when Heinrich stepped up into the business.
With Heinrich in control, Villiger became an internationally known company, thanks to a number of brilliant marketing steps. At the 1964 New York World's Fair, Villiger was the primary distributor of cigars, while the company also supported a Formula One racing team from 1977 through 1979.
Starting in 1999, Villiger began to expand into other countries, establishing a base in the United States, which moved to Miami, Florida, in 2016.
Villiger worked with the Sutliff Tobacco Company in order to create these pipe tobaccos. By working with Sutliff, they were able to pair the pipe tobacco experience the other company has with the cigar knowledge Villiger has acquired through the ages.
We provide you with five different Villiger tobacco blends. With the exception of their English Export blend, each Villiger tobacco blend is an Aromatic, with the best scents and flavors provided to you. Feel free to take a look at the tobacco offered. Thanks to the partnership of Villiger and Sutliff, you are getting tobacco made with more than 300 years of experience and tobacco understanding. With that much experience, they will know what people like about smoking a tobacco pipe, so you should find something you definitely enjoy here.
