A handy Cap to prevent the wind from smoking your Pipe for you!

This little tool is perfectly functional and fits a range of "standard" size internal bowl diameters. Squeeze it to compress the sides and release to create the outward tension that holds it in place. I've used it to smoke in the wind and rain and it's very helpful and made a very big difference. I removed it for relights and plopped it right back in.

This wind cap has now made it possible for me to smoke my pipe on days that, previously, were way too windy for me to enjoy the tobacco, as either the wind would burn the tobacco too hot and give me tons of tongue bite, or (especially with more moist aromatics,) made lighting them impossible. It also makes it easier to smoke the pipe if there is light rain or it is snowing (as I had happened the other day!) I would 100% recommend this wind cap to any pipe smoker that doesn't have one yet. As a matter of fact, pick up a few and leave them places you might need them like: one in your car, one in your home, one at work, one in your travel case. It's always better to have one in case it gets windier than you expected, but you still want to enjoy your pipe. The only caveat I will add is that being heavy duty, it is itself a bit heavy. It will add about .1 oz to the bowl of your pipe. So if the pipe you're smoking is already a heavy one, you might feel it even more. But that is a cheap price to pay to be able to enjoy your pipe in most weather. Overall this little wind cap adds a lot of times that you can smoke if smoking outside is your only option. 5/5 for me.

These pipe lids are great! Quality construction/materials! They don't quite latch on to larger chambered pipes but are still heavy enough and large enough to set on top and block the wind while out of doors, if not moving around too vigorously and they easily fit the smallest of pipes. I especially like that I can preload a bowl prior to venturing out and the tobacco does not spill. Also easy to clean with a little rubbing alcohol and pipe cleaner/toothbrush. The spring catch requires a little breaking in period and together with the polished stainless steel if used carefully will not mar the rim of the pipe.
