Zippo Pipe Lighter Insert

I've had my Brass Cased Zippo for years, and since taking up the Pipe, I decided to convert the old Zippo. The package arrived promptly and undamaged. I found the cap on top of the chimney to be poor fitting, but with careful adjustment, I was able to adjust it for a tight fit. The lid on my Zippo is a tight fit over the top of the insert and doesn't quite flip open as a wellbroke in Zippo should. I was able totweak it a bit, and it's opening better now. I believe that over time, this too will be a non-issue. All in all, I like the way it lights pipes and would give it 5 stars for lighting. Given the issues stated above, I would still buy it over again, but it gets for stars because it required a bit of fiddling to meet my satisfaction

Glad I was able to find just the insert rather than having to buy the whole lighter. The insert works great, very happy with it.

This was my first time trying a Zippo pipe lighter & all I can say is, I wish I'd bought it sooner! Since the flame is completely vertical, as compared to most pipe lighters that emit the flame at a 45 or 90 degree angle there are no more tell tail burns on my pipe bowls. Add to that the fact that I was able to easily re purpose my favorite old Zippo (case) into a pipe lighter without having to replace it makes this a win win purchase.

Works well, I think better than the original one that was replaced.
