For fans of the original Three Nuns, first blended over a century ago, the Mac Baren iteration will invoke memories of the original, but is its own exceptional smoking experience entirely. For those of us who are HUGE C.S. Lewis fans, but were not alive for the original, this blend is a chance to smoke something exceptional while wondering what Oxford would have been like in the glory days. Whichever side you fall on, this is a slightly spicy and smoky experience not to be missed.

Three Nuns Tobacco
Excellent it has been many years since I don't have this tobacco, more than 20, stil is as good as I remember it.
Mild, pleasant to the senses & never any bite.
Not the best tobacco I’ve ever smoked. Has a sweet taste that makes my stomach hurt sometimes while smoking. Smells like bbq sauce in the tin. I will come back to it after sometime and maybe I’ll like it more. Worth trying though.
The tin, though
Great smoke once it's aired out. I love the first smell of tobacco. The process they use to seal the tins, or whatever it is, gives it a sun dried tomato smell at first. Had to transfer it to a jar for a couple weeks before that went away. But once it did, amazing aroma of the tobacco, and the smoke. Top notch flavor! Even with the tin, will buy again.
Best of the best
If you like a flavorful non aromatic pipe experience Three Nuns is the one to get. A true masterpiece of pipe tobacco’s in my opinion.
Wonderful tobacco. A piece of pure craftsmanship. Strong with a great flavor.
Very good tobacco. The strength is very satisfying, and the flavor is very nice.
I will never know what the stuff C. S. Lewis smoked was like. But if it is indeed anything akin to this blend I understand his preference. I’m not going to pontificate or wax poetic about nuanced palate peculiarities. I will simply say if you are into English blends you owe it to yourself to try it. I am a frequent Nightcap smoker. This isn’t like that but it agrees with me in a similar way. It will be in regular rotation. It is a fine blend.
