Brebbia Sun pipes are instantly recognizable beauties. The series features richly stained briar with a Meerschaum lining for the chamber. Add to that a brass band and amber-colored translucent stem. In the 834 shape, it’s a bent Apple with the typical extra length that marks it a Brebbia pipe.

Beautiful pipe with summer colors. The finish started flaking off (clear) right away, but it does not impact the look unless you shine a bright light on it so I am not worried about a fix. Maybe it will add unique character over time. This was my first lined pipe and I was surprised at the small bowl. That said, it is great for a quicker sitting. Larger tobacco flakes, like home sliced plugs, will take some work to fill properly and it gets rather hot in the hand. Even with that, it is a beautiful addition to my collection that I enjoy when a shorter duration is needed or I'm willing to refill at one sitting.
This is a very pretty pipe. It is the only filter pipe in my collection, so I paired it with Cornell and Diehl's Captain Bob's blend. Captain Bob's is a rather strong-tasting tobacco and the pairing has been fantastic. The only negative is the small bowl size due to the meerschaum insert (the reason for 4 stars). 30 to 40 minutes is a really good pack. However, being meerschaum I simply loaded it up again and do two bowls back to back. It also has a large wide stem, which is not a negative as I find it does a great job of keeping spittle out of the pipe. Just took a bit of getting used to. All in all a nice addition to my smoking rotation.
I purchased this pipe so that I could experience the pure taste of my tobaccos. I have smoked this pipe several times now and I have not been disappointed with the richer taste of my tobaccos. The pipe is beautiful; well made and feels good in the hand. This is my first Meerschaum lined pipe and I have a feeling that it won't be my last!
This is a beautiful pipe in color and proportion. Excellent choice if you wish for a somewhat smaller pipe but has no compromises in feel and in smoking. Excellent service “again” from Tobaccopipes.
