I am a fan of Captain Black Gold, so I was somewhat disappointed with this product. It definitely smells good, but you can hardly taste a cherry flavoring. Plus, there is a mild chemical aftertaste. Tobacco was fresh and smelled like cherry. No harsh taste.

This tobacco is smooth and has a hint of robust cherry.

I can remember smelling this as a kid so I had to get some. I'm new to the pipe, this tobacco has an awesome tin note and room note, my next opinion isn't really valid because I'm new, I didn't like the ashtray taste it left in my mouth, probably because I'm new to the game and haven't acquired a taste for the pipe yet, so I wouldn't blame that on the tobacco. Burned good smelled great, found it a little strong while burning.

My wife says it smells like her grandpa. It’s the only tobacco she can abide. That's reasoning enough for me to smoke it on occasion. And it’s really not all that bad.
