Excellent smoke, real chocolaty!

I bought the 2 Oz tin several months ago and finally tried it today after my yard work was done. It looked a little moist when I open it, but I didn't want to wait to dry a bowl full. So I packed my Peterson Sherlock Holmes plip pipe to the brim anyway. It burned fairly well most of the way requiring a few re-lights. It definitely smells like coffee and chocolate says my wife. No nicotine hit. It made lots of good smoke and was very enjoyable and relaxing. The bottom of the bowl took more re-lights as the moisture was collecting there. So, I would say this requires some drying beforehand. I will definitely get more when this tin is gone. Another winner from Cornell and Diehl!

I’m a big fan of Cornell & Diehl. Their “autumn evening” is one of my all time favorite aromatic pipe tobaccos. That said, while this blend smells great, it has no taste. Worse yet, when I popped the tin, it was dripping wet—the most water-logged tin of tobacco I’ve ever seen. I even put a bowl’s worth out to dry for a day, and it still wouldn’t burn. Given how good this brand usually is, this is a sore disappointment.

This blend has a wonderfully intoxicating chocolate, and coffee aroma. It's a wonderful first pipe of the day kind of smoke. I'm only giving it 4 stars because it was a touch on the moist side.

It comes too wet: In some cases that is a good thing but in this case it's not. Pass on this one

This blend was hot and basic had a slight chocolate flavor and a sweetness but was otherwise bland

This is really good to mix with something carmel. May need to let it sit out for about 30 mins to dry some. Really makes it smell like your sitting in a coffee shop.
