Dan Tobacco Bill Bailey's Balkan Blend Pipe Tobacco

A very pleasant smoke. This was my first experience with Dan Tobacco. It has proved a good one. The tin note is honest, the flavor enjoyable, the room fragrance pleasant. I lean to Balkan blends and Bill Bailey is now on my list. My first bowl was disappointing, probably from too tight packing. But from the second onward, the burn has been perfect, nothing but gray ash at the finish in all pipe sizes. I am definitely not an all-day piper, but the nic-hit is surprisingly low enough for a Balkan and the smoke so steady, I have gone most of a morning reloading this one.

I’m a big fan of Latakia, and this has 40% Lat. Very nice Balkan blend.

This blend is one of a kind, it’s smoky & floral with strong aroma & have the longest finish on the palate You literally taste what you smell One of my top favorites & it’s not for everyone,,, smoke it slow & take your time with it to get the best out of this artistic blend some tins might needs a bit of hydration

One of the best smooth complex blends. It could be an all day smoke for me.

I’m very impressed with this tobacco I’m a fan of heavy Latakia blends I thought that dark fired Kentucky would make it interesting with the other ingredients and it really does nice strong flavors of Smokey,Spicy,leathery,earthy,grass, like quality a complex smoke possibly my current favorite.

This is only the 2nd English blend I've ever smoked, so I can't really give that great of a review compared to English blends in general. I like this blend about as much as I like the other English I've smoked! Nice and spicy, peppery. Very nice flavor.

I accidentally bought this blend instead of the Old Ironsides I originally wanted online in 2006. I received a 1lb bag and could not have been happier. Outstanding English blend that got me through several tough days.

The smell from the tin was absolutely amazing but unfortunately, it didn't seem to translate much to the smoke. I found the initial light to be very smooth and mellow with many nuanced flavors, none of which really stood out on their own. The profile picked up slightly further down the bowl but never quite reached the strength I was expecting. Good smoke overall, not sure the 4 out 5 strength rating is appropriate though.

Excellent English Blend; medium strength with a nice amount of Latakia for the smokey, campfire smell and flavor that English lovers crave. Highly recommend!
