Both bright and flue-cured Virginias are used to make this Straight Virginia blend sweet enough for Dan Tobacco to consider it an Aromatic (well, according to the tin description anyway). Mellow Mallard would be the perfect accompaniment to a day out on the lake with a fishing pole and a corn cob pipe.

I was quite pleased with this pipe tobacco it has a great flavor & room note, I highly recommend this blend.
I got this primarily for the container. Have nostalgic memories attached to the emerald plumage around the neck and head of mallard. As for the tobac Ive no experience w/it but after trying a couple of loads I found it agreed w/my personal preferrence, mild and easy to smoke. The long rough cut is suitable for big bowls, as packing a load into a regular pipe might be hard to draw. But that's my thinking, while other smokers could find this particular tobac suit- able for their own preferrences. I can in fact smoke it for half a day and find the pleasure of enjoying it. Alright I got my mallard tin and discovered a new smoke to enjoy. Maybe nxt time I'd try a tin of the other blend. THANX Aimee and TobaccoPipes Team for your cheerful attention, and for making this tobac available. Ciao`paisan. R.
Shotgun blast? But it's a duck. What can this little cutie do? Plus, her owner seems to thinks this little quaker is very mellow. A Virginia blend mellowness is how well it is fermented. It is not saying anything about how hard it will kick your palate if you start sucking on the pipe. This is a great blend. This is why it is always sold out. For novice Aromatic smokers who dabble into the world of real tobacco, This ain't an aromatic. This is Virginia territory, and she doesn't take kindly to fast and hard suckers who like to fill the room with soy latte mocha flavored smoke to impress the wife. Slow down, sip, and lean back. Or she will bite hard.
I don't mind a heavy hit of nic, but I can't get used to this taste. Maybe needs some cellaring time ??? I have tried smoking out of a Cob, Briar, and Meerschaum….. not for me !!!
