    Royal Duke Tobacco Pipe

Posted by Robert on 27th May 2020

My first pipe in a very long time. Fits nicely in my hand, lights easily and stays lit. Good draw on this pipe as well. I've enjoyed every time I've used it so far.

    Bulldog pipe

Posted by Johnny on 13th Aug 2019

Very easily my favorite pipe at the moment. Originally I undervalued Grabow pipes. I even ranked a cob above them in value per cost of pipe. With that said, I believe now that I was wrong. Not just based on this bulldog style pipe. I have higher priced pipes, a few Artisian pipes. My main go too pipes are 5 Dr.Grabow's. I lean to the rusticated more cause I feel they manage the heat better. This bulldog is still breaking in at just over 30 bowls smoked. It's holding its own against a more seasoned freehand Grabow with my two favorite pipe tobaccos. At this price, I fully plan to add 2 more of these pipes to my collection.

This is not an expensive pipe- it is a very good value for the money- the stem is wide and comfortable, easy to hold between the teeth, and it smokes pretty cool- Nice looking...recommended!

    Royally nice pipe!

Posted by Bryan Clark on 19th Sep 2018

I haven't tried any of the other Dr. Grabow pipes, but I really like this Royal Duke. I smoke my pipes a little too hot on occasion, and it never seems to overheat. The diamond shape on the shank and stem make it easy to a line them. The tip is wide enough to hold a rubber bit well, and I like the draw on it. I'm also a filter user, and his filters seem to do the job. It moves around at first, but after a few puffs stays in place. Easily one of my go-to pipes.

    Awesome Pipe and Service

I mostly smoke mostly cobs and wanted an inexpensive briar. Little did I know this would soon become one of my faves. Great service.

    Great Pipe

Posted by Bob on 21st May 2015

Exactly what I wanted. The briar is lighter but not too light and over time it will absorb oils from my hands and take on a great tone. Smokes great too. Tobacco Pipes.com is definitely in my favorites.

I was happy with the service, the price, and the products I received. Especially free shipping.
I bought the Dr Garbow Royal Duke.I did notice the filter does slide back and forth when you puff.

my first purchase prompted me to buy another.

so pleased with my 1st dr grabow i just had to buy another.the depth of the bowl suits me perfectly.the pipe is a real eye catcher.considering the thickness of the bowl how could you not get a nice cool smoke from it. this one has now been designated for my sherlock holmes tobacco,my other dr grabow will cater for old dublin.these are real good smokers.

Revised Opinion After smoking this pipe for a month there are problems with it

Posted by Bob or JRS on 13th Nov 2012

After smoking this pipe for a month or so heres the bottom line:The Bit to shaft fit is poor there is a gap between the two you can see light between them. The real problem lies with manufacturing of the pipe,The filter chamber was bored and reamed aprox 1/4 inch to deep in the shaft of the pipe, the filter just slides back and forth in the chamber freely. The smoke travels around the filter as well as some probably passing through;I checked a Dr Graybow Bent Lark pipe I recently bought it has the same filter chamber problem 1/8 inch to deep, bit to shaft fit was ok.I wont be purchasing any more Dr Graybow pipes until they correct their manufacturing problems. I'll stick to Medico!
