Fribourg & Treyer Golden Mixture Pipe Tobacco

I haven't been a big fan of Virginias in the past, but the necessity of a searching for a quality tobacco that was lower nicotine drew me to Freibourg and Treyer Golden Mixture. To be completely honest, an affection for Lord Russell did play a part in the decision to buy it. After cracking the tin, the experience of smelling the tobacco was a pure pleasure, at once reminding me of the new-mown hay of our farm many years ago. I had feared a cigarette smell, but this was sweet and seductive, and more appreciated still when considering its character is derived from the pure leaf. Smoking this tobacco was just as pleasurable as smelling it, with no bite, no harshness or "edge", only the subtle tastes that are enhanced by an equally gentle draw. I keep a tin of this on the night table to crack once in a while just for the times I can't smoke it. Highly recommend!
