2nd time around
This is my 2nd purchase of this blend. If you draw a comparison between this tobacco and seemingly odd flavor combinations in the food world, this would be like some cocoa powder worked into the rub on some smoked barbeque.

Bridge the gap
For me, just a really awesome smoke. Love the smokey latakia notes in the jar and in the smoke - but they are mellow and not at all overpowering. If you like aromatics but are interested in branching out, curious about english blends or just need something different, give this a try. I think it's a great 'gateway' tobacco into english, latakia and beyond. Well done.

One of my first forays into English blends. I found it to be an excellent crossover blend to try! I'll certainly purchase it again.

Honestly this tobacco smelled horrible in the package musty almost...but it tastes wonderful and has an amazing aroma. Although I probably won't order this blend again I cannot say anything bad about the smoking experience and hopefully others will enjoy this. Lane is absolutely top of the hill when it comes to pipe smoke.

I don't want to compare latakia to running into some old friend that you haven't seen in a while but it is one of the most unique and distinguishable of the varieties that there is.

Lane Limited HGL is an aromatic tobacco blend that contains the unique taste and smoky aroma of Latakia. To some it is an "English" blend and not a true aromatic while Lane Limited lists it as an aromatic blend. Great smoke no matter which it is.

A fine smoking pipe tobacco. The HGL is smooth and this introduction to Latakia is a happy marriage with the blends of Cavendish, Burley, and Virginia tobaccos. While not as aromatic as 1-Q, perhaps, it possesses a pleasant aroma and taste, and my wife still enjoys the smell.

You wouldn’t think an English and an Aro would play well together in the Bowl of enjoyment but they do! In fact, this is such a flavorful and smooth smoke it actually is impressive. If for some reason you smoke aromatics and want to work your way into a very smooth English blend here is your chance. Grab some I promise you won’t be disappointed.
