Bought this twice now. First time was a 4oz bag. The flakes were perfectly intact. Second time was an 8oz bag. This time most of the flakes were broken up from improper handling. Of course this doesn’t effect the tobacco unless you like to fold and roll which I usually do not. Anyways it’s a minor bummer on the part of Tobacco Pipes.
A great tobacco. I rub out two flacks for my Peterson 307 and pack it somewhat light. burns really well after aging for 3 months. smooth and flavorful. just a really good tobacco.
I like this tobacco very much. It has a good tobacco taste which is what I want in a tobacco and it has no tongue bite. I ordered more!
taste sweet and delicious
While PS 400 Luxury Navy Flake may not be peak flavor, it has a lot going for it. The flake crumbles easily and smokes exceedingly smoothly. Especially for those times when I'm not in the mood for a "sensitive" flake (that has to be treated just right), the Navy Flake is an excellent smoke, and I'm grateful that it's available.
I tend to smoke Virginias in the day time, often in a Meerschaum. This is my favorite of all the ones I've tried so far. This and the Bullseye flake, one or both is always around here. At the bulk price this is a steal, I kid you not.
Just like with PS403, I buy this to let it sit around and get old. Two pounds of this in a gallon mason jar is a beautiful thing. Oh yeah, this stuff tastes good too!
Has a light smell of cut hay, which is very pleasant with very low tongue bite. One of my favorites.
