It is tobacco and it lights and smokes but otherwise it is pretty bland stuff. Won't buy again.

    Interesting Stuff

As blends go this one of the more interesting ones. No latakia mentioned yet you may detect a note of it. It's smooth with a slight sweetness, it's an English that really isn't an English.

    Presbyterian Mixture

A mild blend of Latakia, Turkish and Virginia tobaccos. There are ribbon cut and coarse cut there that help maintain a very easy burning characteristic. Moisture is held at a good level by the plastic inner packaging. It was smokable when freshly opened and maintained the critical moisture level that is key to flavorful, bite free smoking. It’s mild enough for any time of day or all day if such should be the pipesters desire. Stays lit easily and burns to the bottom with no wet residue. The smoke has a definite sweetness that is artfully combined with Latakia...a little unusual in my opinion. Neither aspect dominates...the Turkish must be there somewhere but doesn’t leap out and grab you. All in all, I’ll give it high marks as an everyday smoke and suggest that it would be a fine starting point for those interested in trying a Latakia Blend. Its name is famous for good reason and it deserves a try...you might love it. I tried it in a large cob, large briar, and small briar. All of them worked well but the cob was especially able to bring out the Virginia sweetness.

I was not particularly impressed. Too bad for me. Probably because I’m an atheist.

    An unusual, but wonderful smoke!

I tried this one on a whim given some people's devotion to it. And as always, the recommendations were correct. It is a little different with a bright Virginia base and a nice layer of orientals that helps to tame Virginia based. The latakia is supposed to be there, but it is very light, and I cannot really tell if I can taste it or not. But, since I am not a fan of lat-bombs, it really appeals to me. It is a very relaxing smoke without being overpowered with latakia. Being in one tin-lead to buying four more.

Amazing blend. I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good English.
