Tortuga 614
I've owned quite an extensive collection of Savinelli pipes since the early '80's.several autographs for example. This Tortuga is the worst Savinelli I've ever owned. The tenon will not stay tight in the mortise.it is like a joke pipe. The pipe is beautiful and smoked very nicely at first. Now the stem falls out of the pipe. It's like a joke pipe. There isn't any signs of imperfections in either the mortise or tenon no cracks. Savinelli would not respond. I'm sure there would be a way to fix the tenon and mortise fit,maybe a new stem altogether.it is ashamed that Savinelli quality control is now sub par. I can not recommend the Tortuga line.

I understand that not all factory pipes a perfect the first one I received had a defect however what you don't expect these days is prompt friendly services. I contacted tobacco pipes support and they dispatched a new pipe and provided me with a prepaid return slip. All of this with in minuets of me receiving the faulty product. The replacement arrived and is of the quality of pipes I would expect from Salvinelli . Oh and I should mention that the price is better than my locals and most other web provider. This is the 3ed pipe I have bought from Tobaccopipes and will not be the last. Thank you
