Sir Walter Raleigh Aromatic Pipe Tobacco

One of the better OTC Aromatics. Nice cut, great flavor.

I'm still trying different tobaccos, as I just started smoking a couple of weeks ago.

I'm new to pipe smoking, but I really like this tobacco. It has an almost nutty scent to it and smokes nice. You can taste the light liquor flavoring sort of as an after taste. It might not blow your socks off, but it's perfect if you're looking for a good quality lower-priced tobacco.

I have been an English and Balkan blend guy for many years but thought I would try a highly rated OTC aromatic. Not bad! Smooth and a touch sweet and not overly flavored. Nice room note. A very good change of pace for me and as affordable as it gets.

A true classic and its cut is very different from the SWR regular. Opening the tin is heavenly and the smoke is just the same. Works in all types of pipes and doesn't bite when pushed. The room note is pleasant, chicks dig it even my mom.

This was what I started out with 41 yrs. ago love the smell of it very mild. I have had a lot of comments on how good it smells when smoking it. I would recommend everyone to give this a try.

When I first got into the hobby of pipe smoking I wanted a really sweet tasting and smelling aromatic. I went through the motions did a lot of research and got advice from an awesome guy named Ben from tobaccopipes.com. Now, I come to love the Lane 1-Q and BCA mixture but I’ve been noticing that I just can’t take that much of an aromatic all day every day. I didn’t want to be one of those guys to turn to an OTC LOL! I saw a lot of reviews on Sir Walter Raleigh aromatic and I took a chance and bought a tub of it. I liked the smell of it when I first opened the tub, it was sweet and sugary. The taste was great, but the room note was not what I expected from reading the other reviews. I even emailed my tobacco advisor Ben and said I wanted something sweeter smelling. It wasn’t until I lit the pipe one day in the car, had to run into the store and when I came back in the car the smell was phenomenal! It was that classic (grandpop) pipey smell I was looking for! It took a while for me to catch it but I finally got it. Now, I am still new to this hobby and I’m going to continue to bug my buddy Ben for advice but I will always keep a tub of this classic no-nonsense relaxing tobacco on hand. I smoked this in my briars and my cobs. I find that it smokes better in my Dr. Grabows, it is like those two items were meant for each other.
