Strong rum flavoring is the spotlight of Sutliff Private Stock Barbados Plantation pipe tobacco. The blend is so named for the belief that rum flavoring was the first Aromatic tobacco brought to the Old World from plantations in the New. This Aromatic tobacco will benefit from some drying time and has a strong enough flavoring to please those who love to taste the rum flavor first with every puff.

Sutliff Barbados plantation
This is a great aromatic. Not too goopy and the moisture was also pretty good out of the can. The flavors are subtle and it's a mild smoke. Burns nice. I enjoyed this aromatic. If you like rum you will like this

Barbados Plantation Pipe Tobacco
This is my #1 choice for aromatic pipe tobacco. Smooth and not too acidic.

Private Stock Barbados Plantation
I keep wanting to really like the Sutliff Private Stock series but in my experience within only a few minutes I've got gurgling goop in the bottom of my pipe and the flavor doesn't last long at all. I've tried three different versions of the Private Stock series and the result is much the same. I do not want to discourage anyone from trying them. Maybe others' experience would be different. For me, however, these just don't smoke very well. I really wish they did because the tin note is very nice and people around me like the smell. It seems I'm the only one who winds up disappointed. Personally, if I find myself having to turn to an aromatic, (I tend to prefer English tobaccos but it can get too hot where I live to enjoy them year-round), tobaccos which are not as heavily top coated work better for me. If you are a Sutliff fan there are several of those on offer and a number of other brands offer them too. All I can really say is try the Private Stock series for yourself if it interests you and see what you think. If you are new to all of this think of pipe tobacco as being rather similar to wine. You have to sample quite a lot of it to find out what you really like.

Great Aromatic
As has been said a very tasty aromatic, requires several lights, a little wet, will not ghost your pipe, no bite, a great break from English types when a taste for something smooth and sweet is desired.

Very tasty
This is a very tasty blend that you can detect through most of the smoke. Now it is not a big flavor but it's there through most of the smoke. One of the better aromatics out there.
