Sutliff SPS-3 Cherry

Not a usual cherry
First bowl - smells kind of musty out of the bag. Pretty moist - doesn't like to stay lit in the first half, but not goopy. Very light topping - this is barely an aromatic in the flavor depth, and it can very easily cause tongue bite. It does have a very pleasant room note and there is a hint of cherry in the air. Imagine a ribbon cut Virginia steamed with a tiny hint of cherry and then stuffed into a bag, and that's basically what this is. If you like straight Virginia non-aromatics, aren't a big fan of aromatics, but are bored with the same old flavors, this might be for you. I personally don't think I'll buy this again, but I think I'll get through the 8oz bag I bought. I think I'll blend this with PS black cavendish to drop the tongue bite a bit and make it smoke a little better.

Sutliff sps-3 Cherry
This is an odd tobacco, and I wish I hadn’t purchased eight ounces of it. When I opened the bag, I thought it was strange that there was no cherry aroma. That was a bad sign. Not much aroma of anything at all. I lit up a bowl of it, and there was zero cherry flavor. None. I did detect a strong plastic flavor, though. It was gross. I guess the bag imparted a flavor to the tobacco. I didn’t even smoke half a bowl of this stuff before I dumped it out. I must have received a bad batch. I have ordered large bags of Sutliff blends before, and this has never happened. I do enjoy Sutliff tobaccos, just not this one. Two big thumbs down.

Nice and mellow
A pleasant light cherry flavor and it smokes easy.
