Falcon Standard Chrome Straight Tobacco Pipe Stem

I have, over the last 50 years, bought several of these pipes and always been satisfied with them. However, the one I received from tobaccopipes.com seems to be slight defective. Two of the 3 threads in the aluminum bowl appear to be poorly fabricated so the wooden part is tricky to screw in. The start of two of the defective threads appear to be flattened. Always before with a falcon I have found the wooden and aluminum parts mate perfectly. Unfortunately, not this time.

I've been wanting to try a Falcon Pipe for sometime, and finally picked up one of these stems. Additionally, I had also purchased a couple of bowls. Well, this setup has ruined all of my other pipes. I have some very nice pipes in my collection, but all I want to smoke is this one! It smokes sweet, cool, dry, and is so light. I just can't put it down. It's so easy to clean, and changing out the bowls is so handy. The craftmanship of the stem is not the best. It is kind of rough in spots, but it still deserves five stars. For what your paying, and the smoking pleasure that you get is amazing. My wife had once bought me a very high end Dunhill to add to my collection, and now I have to explain to her why all I smoke is a pipe (along with the six bowls that I now have) that costed one tenth of the price of what she had paid. Also, if you break, or lose the stem so what! It's just so affordable to replace. However, replacing a bowl would not be so easy. You'd have to break it in! And to top everything off is the great service you get from TobaccoPipes!

Standard straight falcon pipe stem. Works fine. Loses one star for the actual stem. Not sure what the material is, but is different (slick?) than my other stems.

I was surprised at how big the stem is. I thought it would be a little bit smaller.

I love it. Waiting on a restock of the twisty stem with the black tube. Got one of the meerschaum bowls (another 1st for me) and a Dublin. Next bowl will be a Hyper because it's bigger. First time ordering from you guys. Ye're site is very user friendly. Thanks.

The system does everything it is said to do. This is one of the pipes I smoke when I am not going to spend a lot of time relaxing. So it sees a lot of burn time. I would encourage everyone to put an example in their rotation.

My Grandfather loved the Falcon pipe system because it was not heavy and easy to move about. I love this system as well because of the ability to switch out bowls and makes cleaning easy as can be.
