Keeps debris outta mouth
I like these in my MM corn cob pipes because it does well at trapping moisture ( by product of combustion ) and prevents that " tobacco tea" from reaching your mouth and souring the smoking experience. Before this product I used to smoke my cobs without a filter because the paper ones would clog and become useless over time and would restrict the draw. The downside overall was tobacco bits being inhaled through the stem when there was no filter in place. This product is like the best of both worlds because it doesn't restrict draw and it keeps moisture and debris at bay . I highly recommend this "filter"

Works for me
This is my first Savinelli with filter. So far, the filters work as described... I enjoy the fact that most of the moisture is wicked up by the balsa.

Balsa Filers
First time I've tried balsa filters and I like them. Definitely traps tar (you can see it on the filter upon removal) and cools the smoke. Will purchase again and use them in my corncob pipes as well.

The Best On The Market
Though most of my pipes are non-filtered these filters are great! I like them so much that aside from my Savinelli 320, I use them in all my filtered cobs. Beats the heck out of paper filters. Well worth the slightly higher price.

Great filters!!
These filters are great they keep out bitterness and Allows a cool draw and smooth and rich,does not effect the taste of my tobacco!! I've tried others but I'm sold on these!!
